EMERGENCY DENTISTRY

Here are some tips on how to handle common dental emergencies:

TOOTHACHE

Call our office (440-461-5482) to make an appointment when you feel discomfort or pain in your teeth.

CHIPPED, CRACKED, OR BROKEN TOOTH

If you have a chipped, cracked, or broken tooth, immediately rinse your mouth with warm water. Apply a cold compress. Contact us immediately if your teeth were chipped or broken. Make every effort to bring the tooth wrapped in a wet towel or gauze.

LOOSENED OR KNOCKED OUT TOOTH

As a result of the trauma that a tooth becomes loose, contact us immediately. If your tooth was knocked out, attempt to place the tooth back into the socket and hold it from the crown with a clean towel. Leave any attached tissue on the tooth.

If the tooth is dirty, rinse it off with water - do not scrub it. If you are unable to insert the tooth into the socket, call us immediately (440-461-5482) and hold the tooth under the tongue.
